RECOFTC Country Engagement Strategies - 2013-2018

June 2015

RECOFTC's country engagement strategies analyse the community forestry (CF) situations and challenges in RECOFTC's focal countries and recommend priorities for CF development in those countries. Adhering to RECOFTC's vision and mission, the reports present the organization’s strategic programme framework and how RECOFTC Country Programs can effectively contribute to the advancement of CF.

These publications comprise a series developed for eight RECOFTC focal countries – Cambodia, China, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Viet Nam – based on RECOFTC's current Strategic Plan for 2013-2018. In addition to presenting the current state of CF in each country and recommendations for improvement, each country strategy highlights RECOFTC's country priorities and plans to achieve its strategic outcomes in four thematic areas: Securing Community Forestry; Enhancing Livelihoods and Markets; People, Forests and Climate Change; and Transforming Forest Conflict.
