Here you will find a list of CBNRM Networks that operate in the South Asia region and who are involved in training and facilitation activities. This list will be expanded over time. ALL in CBNRM Adaptive Learning and Linkages in CBNRM is a collaborative program in social and adaptive learning for CBNRM advocates in Southeast Asia.

 

 

 

Asia Forest Network (AFN) works to support the role of communities in the protection and sustainable use of Asia's forests. AFN is comprised of a coalition of planners, policy makers, government foresters, scientists, researchers, and NGOs.

 

Australasia-Pacific Extension Network APEN is an Australian based network that provides a forum for practitioners involved in facilitating change in regional communities.

 

CBNRM Asia Virtual Resource Centre is a web-based interactive information and resource sharing platform for CBNRM researchers and innovators in Asia. The centre provides forums, news boards and extensive resources.

 

CBNRM Net provides a set of networking tools to link CBNRM researchers, managers and practitioners around the world. The site also contains extensive CBNRM resources including training and capacity building.

 

Exploring Regional CBNRM Policy Advocacy In cooperation with IDRC, the International Institute of Rural Reconstruction (IIRR) is currently undertaking an exploratory study in Asia into how CBNRM project implementation is being impacted by policy related barriers.

 

FAO Participation website aims to bring together a broad cross-section of stakeholders interested in participatory approaches and methods in support of sustainable rural livelihoods and food security.

 

 

Greater Mekong Subregion and Research Network (GMSARN) enhances the roles and functions of academic and research institutions in the Greater Mekong Subregion, particularly project evaluation and development planning, for the sustainable development of the GMS.

 

MekongInfo is an interactive website for sharing information and knowledge about participatory NRM in the Lower Mekong Basin.

 

Mekong Learning Initative aims to use a linking and learning approach to facilitate reflection, sharing and new activities in support of a Mekong 'body of knowledge and practice' on the social science of natural resource management. MLI facilitates research projects between a range of universities in Lower Mekong Countries.

 

South Asian Network for Development and Environmental Economics (SANDEE) works to strengthen the capacity of individuals and institutions to undertake research on economic development, poverty, and environmental change; and to provide information to assist policy development.

 

 

 

UPWARD works to promote information sharing and support networking among participatory research and development professionals and organisations, in Asia and the developing world.
