Are you passionate about forestry and sustainability issues? This two-day, hands-on communication workshop will provide training on how to get your message across and how to make the media work for you.

Learn how to reach the public using clear, concise and colorful key messages, how to create compelling videos and photos, and how to organize an effective media field trip that will inspire reporters to write about sustainable forest management and the issues that matter to you. You will also learn techniques on how to prepare for media interviews, handle journalists, and avoid common media traps and pitfalls.

Join us at the communication workshop co-organized by the Asia-Pacific Forest Communicators Network (APFCN), the UN Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO) and The Center for People and Forests (RECOFTC) at the Asia-Pacific Forestry Week 2019 event in Incheon, Korea.

The workshop details:

Monday, 17 June, 0830-1700

Thursday, 20 June, 0700-1630(Field trip)
