What We Do
By examining these issues from an interdisciplinary perspective, our work at the Center has an impact beyond the Asia - Pacific Region. In the upcoming decades, forests will take on an even greater role in achieving sound, global development. To do this, however, we must empower local people to manage their forests in a sustainable way.
“For the forestry community and the development sector, it should be self-evident that people and landscapes are interdependent. Therefore it should be self-evident that people and forests should not be neglected when thinking about ALL of the SDGs” - Dr. David Ganz, RECOFTC Executive Director, COFO 24
