Calling all researchers who care about forests, poverty, gender and justice

Explore launches Call for Concept Notes under the Sida-funded Preparatory Grant Mechanism for research on forest landscape governance

The Sida-funded Explore research network will launch its first Call for Concept Notes for research on forest landscape governance on 16 September 2021. The deadline for submissions is 15 November 2021.

Explore is a research network and community of practice dedicated to expanding and applying knowledge on forest landscape governance in Southeast Asia. The maximum grant for the competitive call is US$ 15,000, and the project duration for preparing full research proposals is six months.

“By providing funding, training, mentorship and support, Explore is building capacity for research on forest landscape governance in seven countries in Southeast Asia,” said David Ganz, RECOFTC Executive Director. “We invite all researchers with an interest in forest landscape governance to apply. Gender equality and inclusion are particularly important to us, and we encourage women researchers to apply.”

Explore will launch the Call for Concept Notes at a videoconference hosted by the Global Landscapes Forum (GLF) on 16 September 2021 from 9 a.m to 12 p.m. Participants in the event will learn about the process, schedule and evaluation procedures for the Call for Concept Notes.
