Join the Digital and Social Media Lab on 31 March and 1 April 2022 in preparation for the upcoming XV World Forestry Congress in Seoul, Republic of Korea.

Applications close on Monday 21 March 2022.

The Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) and RECOFTC are announcing a call for applications to join their growing community of social media reporters dedicated to creating positive change for the world’s forests.

At this virtual workshop, successful applicants will learn about the latest techniques and platforms for digital storytelling and engagement from professionals in the field. They will meet colleagues from around the world who are putting critical forest issues on the global agenda. They will be inspired and supported to publish stories individually and collaboratively on social media platforms, including the official channels of the World Forestry Congress.

FAO will sponsor selected participants in the Digital and social media lab to participate as a social media reporter at the World Forestry Congress from 2 to 6 May 2022, and to attend an additional two-day pre-Congress training run by the Regional Forest Communicators Networks with support from the Finnish Forest Association in Seoul on 30 April and 1 May 2022.

The deadline for applications is Monday 21 March 2022. Interested applicants are required to fill out a form to apply.

Hurry, seats are limited! The lab will be conducted in English only.
