Call for abstract: Forestry Forum on Gender, Poverty and Hunger in the Asia-pacific

The community forestry forum on gender, poverty and hunger is a regional forum in Asia and the Pacific. It will convene all who are interested in community forestry and its impacts on poverty (SDG 1), alleviating hunger (SDG 2) and promoting gender equality (SDG 5). The forum will be held in early 2018 in Bangkok, Thailand and is organized by RECOFTC - The Center for People and Forests. At the forum, local community members, academics, media, government agencies, civil society and private sector actors will have the opportunity to discuss and share their latest research findings on the topic.

 

RECOFTC is now calling for abstracts covering one or all of the following topics and geographic areas:

  • Community forestry and its contributions to local livelihoods in forested landscapes (SDGs 1 and 2)
  • Community forestry and its contributions to gender equality (SDG 5)

 

The geographic scope of the call is limited to the following countries: Cambodia, Indonesia, Lao PDR, Myanmar, Nepal, Thailand and Viet Nam.

 

At the Forum, the findings will be presented either in paper/article or poster format. Please submit your abstract of 350 words (in English) in the given link. The deadline for submissions of abstract is 30 November 2017. The full length of paper/article will not exceed 3,000 words.
