Study Tour

Community forestry is a powerful mechanism through which local people can address a variety of challenges. It improves local livelihoods, enhances participatory governance institutions, reduces forest conflict, conserves natural resources, and supports climate change adaptation and mitigation initiatives.

It has been practiced in various manners within the ASEAN countries. Sharing this knowledge among AMS would be beneficial for the development of community forestry in the region.

Objectives:

1. Share knowledge on community forestry and community forest network development within the AMS

2. Experience community participation in implementing forest conservation and management in order to support local sustainable livelihoods and products development.
