About our work in Cambodia

mens in the river

RECOFTC Cambodia works with government, civil society, community and other stakeholders to strengthen the implementation of sustainable forestry practices in the country.

We support the Government of Cambodia as it works to achieve the UN Global Goals for poverty, hunger, environment, climate change and gender.

With a long-term, landscape-based and inclusive approach to supporting local communities, we have been laying the groundwork and enhancing the capacity for community forestry in Cambodia since 2001.

Our work helps communities secure land and resource rights, address deforestation, find alternative livelihoods and foster gender equality.
