Working with the Government's Center for Forestry Education and Training (Pusdiklat Kehutanan or CFET) and Regional Forestry Training Center (Balai Diklat Kehutanan/BDK), RECOFTC has held hundreds of national-level workshops and training events in Indonesia since the 1990s. An MoU was initially signed with the Ministry of Forestry (MoF) in 2005 as the collaboration expanded to include capacity building at all levels of community forestry including conflicts and REDD+ (particularly under the Grassroots Capacity Building for REDD+ program), and was renewed in 2012 with CFET and the Agency For Forest Extension and Human Resources Development (AFEHRD) under MoF (now MoEF). RECOFTC has also collaborated with the Indonesia REDD+ Task Force to develop capacities on conducting FPIC in REDD+.
