Community forest certification in Myanmar
This project aims to strengthen community forestry practices and land tenure security in Myanmar. Focusing on the Tanintharyi region, this two-year initiative expands community forest mapping and field research while supporting community forest certification processes. The project also conducts studies on community forest land allocation procedures, contributing to a better understanding of local land management practices.
The initiative seeks to improve forest governance, protect biodiversity and secure the rights of forest-dependent communities in Myanmar.
