This project addresses climate impacts and deforestation in Nan Province, northern Thailand. Funded by IUCN through the Global Ecosystem-based Adaptation (EbA) Fund, the initiative aims to reverse deforestation trends driven by cash crops like maize by offering sustainable alternatives to smallholder farmers. The project's centerpiece, the Tree for All (T4A) fund, provides financial incentives through microcredit and tree sponsorship for ecosystem restoration and increased tree cover on farms.

Taking a holistic landscape-based approach, the project aims to engage at least 100 smallholders in adopting sustainable forest farm models, enhancing climate resilience and improving livelihoods. By establishing T4A as a recognized EbA financial platform, the project seeks to increase ecosystem resilience, regulate watersheds and reduce climate-related hazards. Collaborating with diverse stakeholders, including farmers and a green hotel network, the initiative links fund mobilization with ecosystem-based results to create more diversified, resilient livelihoods and address critical environmental challenges in the region.
