This project focused on building resilience in ecosystems, communities and biodiversity in Cambodia's Tonle Sap Biosphere Reserve (TSBR). Funded by the European Union (EU) and led by the Wildlife Conservation Society, the project aims to address challenges posed by rapid environmental changes affecting the Tonle Sap Lake. RECOFTC, as a key partner, works with 13 communities covering over 43,583 hectares to enhance the management and restoration of critical habitats, implementing community-level fire management plans and piloting community-managed vegetation rehabilitation and silviculture.

The project operates in six provinces surrounding the lake, engaging the government, communities and the private sector through an integrated landscape approach. Key activities involve improving habitat management, reducing fires, replanting flooded forests and building capacity of community organizations. Our Tonle Sap project aims to ensure that ecosystems, communities and biodiversity in the TSBR can withstand rapid environmental changes, aligning with the broader EU programme for integrated landscape management in the region.
