This knowledge brief examines how community forests in Cambodia help slow deforestation and limit the expansion of plantations, even amid intense forest loss pressures. Using remote sensing and quasi-experimental analysis, the study shows that community forest management can be an effective approach for conserving forests while supporting long-term landscape resilience.
