Community Mangrove Forest Management Plans in Thailand

Developed and supported by Landesa with technical review by RECOFTC, this brief draws upon insights from community forest registration processes to present a practical and innovative pathway toward developing community mangrove forest management plans. It demonstrates how traditional planning processes can be strengthened through the integration of climate risk analysis and future landscape variability using accessible online decision-support tools. It turns existing planning frameworks into forward-looking, actionable tools tailored to coastal and mangrove ecosystems, supporting government officials, communities and local civil society organizations working on sustainable community-based mangrove management.
