This Explore-supported study, published in Bahasa Indonesia, examines community use of the Motamasin River along the Indonesia–Timor-Leste border in Alas Selatan village. Using mixed methods, the research analyses social characteristics, community perceptions and river conditions. Findings highlight the importance of integrated and sustainable water resource management to support livelihoods and environmental governance in vulnerable border areas.
