The manual was developed through collaboration between RECOFTC and the Faculty of Forestry, Kasetsart University. Key stakeholders, including local communities, the Royal Forest Department and the Department of National Parks, Wildlife and Plant Conservation, reviewed the content. The manual uses plain language and includes illustrations to enhance accessibility.
The manual is organized into four key sections:
- Introduction to fuel management in community forest areas
- Preparation before prescribed burning
- Implementation during prescribed burning
- Monitoring and restoration following prescribed burning
