Community-based fire management for new climate and economy

Bangkok Climate Action Week cover image

Join us at the 2026 Bangkok Climate Action Week and be part of the conversation on fire and haze management. Hear stories of action from the field and meet fire-affected communities and frontliners who have transformed into Forest Guardians.

Co-organized by RECOFTC Thailand, the Citizens’ Forest Network, ChangeFusion and the Forest Guardians project, the event will explore what actions we can take to support communities in fire management, forest management and sustainable foraging. The event will look at how the economy can be shaped to allow everyone to enjoy high-quality forest products while ensuring our climate goals are also achieved.

The event will bring together local community members as well as academic experts and development practitioners to look at how community-based fire management protects our lives and environment.
