Learning resource material development

Learning gateway

At RECOFTC, we design and develop high-quality, evidence-based resource materials that support the effective delivery of training programmes, capacity-building initiatives and learning activities. These materials are crafted to meet the specific needs of forestry, climate change and gender equality professionals, ensuring that participants have access to up-to-date, comprehensive and practical knowledge.

Our resource materials include:

  • Training manuals: Detailed, structured guides for trainers, providing step-by-step instructions, key concepts, and facilitation techniques to ensure effective learning experiences for participants. These manuals are used to deliver various training topics, including sustainable forest management, climate adaptation strategies, and gender integration in environmental work.
  • Curricula: Well-structured curricula designed for specific training programs or courses, covering a range of subjects such as forest governance, leadership development, and ecosystem-based approaches to climate change. These curricula outline learning objectives, content modules, and assessment strategies to ensure alignment with program goals.
  • Methods manuals/technical guidelines: Practical guides that outline the best methods, tools, and approaches for addressing complex issues in forestry and climate change. These manuals include detailed technical instructions, case studies, and methodologies to support practitioners in the field.
  • Structured online knowledge resources: A series of curated online resources, including e-learning modules, videos, readings, and interactive content. These resources provide flexible, accessible learning opportunities for individuals and organizations across various regions, making it easier to access knowledge on topics such as forest conservation, climate policy, and community-based adaptation.
  • Syllabi (shared only through e-course): A detailed syllabus outlining the structure and learning objectives of an e-course. These syllabi are shared exclusively with participants enrolled in RECOFTC’s online courses, providing a roadmap of course content, learning activities, and assessments.

By offering these resource materials, we ensure that our training programmes are underpinned by solid, accessible and relevant content, enabling learners to apply knowledge effectively in real-world contexts.

Our published materials can be found at ‘Publications’ under ‘Resources’ on the RECOFTC website.
