This factsheet provides an overview of an Explore-supported research project that examines how forest-dependent communities around protected areas in Lao PDR and Viet Nam were affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. Findings support more inclusive forest governance, strengthened livelihood strategies and evidence-based protected area management.
